Mahindra Holidays Gears Up for Expansion with 850 New Rooms Next Fiscal.
Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd (MHRIL) is set to significantly boost its room inventory, with plans to add approximately 850 rooms in the current fiscal year (FY26). This expansion is a key component of the company's long-term strategy to reach a total of 10,000 rooms by the year 2030, according to Manoj Bhat, the Managing Director and CEO of MHRIL.
Speaking to PTI, Bhat highlighted the company's recent growth, noting the addition of 520 rooms in the just concluded fiscal year (FY25). He further indicated a potential doubling of capital expenditure (capex) in FY26, which could exceed ₹300 crore spent in the previous fiscal. This increase in investment is contingent upon the timely receipt of necessary permits and regulatory approvals for their ambitious expansion plans.
"We had the highest room additions in FY25 and FY26 will be higher, and I think we'll add about 850 rooms," Bhat stated, outlining the company's outlook for the current financial year. He clarified that these new rooms would be added progressively throughout the year, spanning from the first quarter (Q1) to the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY26. This strategic expansion underscores Mahindra Holidays' commitment to strengthening its presence in the leisure hospitality sector and catering to the growing demand for quality holiday experiences.
