Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently launched development projects worth over ₹162 crore in the Tyonthar constituency of Rewa district, alongside announcing a new 400-acre industrial area to boost regional growth.
Speaking at the 'Vindhya Vikas Sankalp Sammelan' in Tyonthar, the CM detailed key initiatives including the establishment of the expansive industrial zone, upgrading the local Civil Hospital from 50 to 100 beds, constructing a new Industrial Training Institute (ITI), and developing a river corridor along the Tamas river.
In a significant move toward sustainable agriculture and cleaner fields, CM Yadav performed the ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ for a ₹125 crore compressed biogas plant by IOCGPS Renewable Pvt Ltd. The plant will procure crop residue from farmers, providing them additional income and promoting environmental benefits.
Highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s swift industrial growth, Yadav stressed the government’s commitment to creating local employment so that youths and women do not have to migrate in search of work.
The CM also reiterated welfare programs, including distribution of uniforms, books, bicycles, laptops, and scooters to students, ₹1,500 monthly assistance to Ladli Behnas from Bhai Dooj, and enhanced support under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to ensure farmers receive ₹12,000 annually.
During the event, Yadav inaugurated road and ‘Chillawala’ bridge projects, handed out land allotment letters to three industrialists for setting up new industries, and announced ₹4 lakh financial aid to the family of Jeena Verma, a road accident victim from Rewa.
He also praised Vindhya’s substantial contributions to energy production through thermal, solar, and renewable sources, declaring the region as emerging India’s ‘energy capital.’
