Luxury Leather Goods Brand Nappa Dori Announces Global Ambitions, New Men's Line.
Nappa Dori, the esteemed luxury leather goods and lifestyle brand, is embarking on an ambitious global expansion strategy, marked by the upcoming launch of its first standalone men’s apparel store in Gurugram later this year. Simultaneously, the company is setting its sights on deeper penetration into key international markets, including the Middle East and London.
Already boasting a presence in Dubai and London, Nappa Dori, with its extensive portfolio of over 1,500 stock-keeping units (SKUs) encompassing leather bags, stationery, home décor, and now clothing, is strategically transforming into a comprehensive lifestyle brand. Founder Gautam Sinha revealed to businessline the brand's broader vision, stating, "We are seriously looking at the travel segment, especially airport stores. India is opening 24 to 28 new airports and that’s a key part of our growth story."
Despite the burgeoning domestic demand for homegrown luxury brands, Sinha has consciously chosen to steer clear of venture capital funding. He emphasized the significance of maintaining creative control and upholding the brand's core integrity as the driving factors behind this decision. "I could have made a lot of money a lot quicker... but I have picked a harder route. It’s a grind, but one that’s worth the wait," Sinha asserted. This strategic approach underscores Nappa Dori's commitment to sustainable growth and preserving its unique brand identity as it ventures further into the global marketplace and diversifies its product offerings.
