L&T Wins Contract in West Asia

Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) witnessed a 0.79% surge in its shares following the company's announcement that its L&T hydrocarbon business had successfully secured a contract in West Asia for an onshore gas compression plant project.

The contract entails the comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction of various facilities, encompassing gas compression, produced water handling, propane refrigeration, and utilities integration with existing plants. In addition to these components, L&T Construction will be responsible for establishing three 230 kV substations to fulfill the power supply requirements for the project.

L&T's Chairman & Managing Director, SN Subrahmanyan, expressed the significance of this achievement, stating, "One doesn't get to win such an order every day. This is something unique, not just for L&T but also a source of pride for India, as we stand as a true Indian multinational. This accomplishment underscores our proven capabilities in delivering projects on time and highlights the immense trust our client has placed in us to manage such complex endeavors."
