L&T Secures 'Significant' Orders in India and Overseas

Engineering conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary, L&T Heavy Engineering, has successfully secured 'significant' orders both in the domestic and international markets. Although the specific value of the orders was not disclosed, L&T clarified that the magnitude of the significant order falls within the range of Rs. 1,000 crore and Rs. 2,500 crore.

L&T Heavy Engineering's Modification, Revamp, and Upgrade (MRU) business segment clinched a major order from a crucial oil and gas customer for a significant debottlenecking project. The MRU business, with a recent focus on Middle East opportunities, views this order as a pivotal achievement in the Middle East market.

Additionally, the MRU business secured the critical Coke Drum repair project from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) Gujarat Refinery, marking another milestone in its portfolio.

L&T also confirmed securing orders for critical equipment in the process plant equipment segment on the international front. Domestically, the company obtained orders for manufacturing proprietary design high-pressure heat exchangers, notably for a refinery project.

Larsen & Toubro, a prominent Indian multinational with a market capitalization of USD 23 billion, specializes in engineering, procurement, and construction projects, as well as hi-tech manufacturing and services.
