L&T gets orders for transmission line projects

Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro Ltd said that it has secured three orders totalling Rs 458 crore for transmission line projects. The company has received a Rs 238-crore order from Jaypee Powergrid Ltd for the construction of a 155-km transmission line from the 1,000 MW Kacham- Wangtoo Hydro Electric Project. L&T has also secured two orders from Power Grid Corporation of India for construction of a 166-km 400 kV D/C transmission line associated with Parbati III HEP transmission System and 255 km of 400 kV D/C Gorakhpur-Lucknow transmission line coming under the Northern Region Strengthening Scheme.
