Loans sanctioned under TUFS to double next year'

Mumbai: Funds for textile projects next year under the Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS) will double to Rs 30,000 crore, said Mr J.N. Singh, Textile Commissioner.

Mr Singh was speaking at the Technical Textile Conference-2006, organised by FICCI, in association with Sasmira. Talking about technical textiles, Mr Singh said an expert committee on technical textiles, set up under the Textiles Ministry, has recommended duty restructuring on specified items including raw materials and machinery.
