KPI Green Energy Commissions 16.16 MW Solar Project Under PM-KUSUM Scheme.

KPI Green Energy Limited has received the Commissioning Certificate for 16.16 MWdc of solar power projects under its Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment, implemented as part of the government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme. The flagship initiative promotes decentralized solar power generation for the agricultural sector.

KPI Green Energy is among the first developers to receive the commissioning certificate under PM-KUSUM in the operational area of Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL). The company’s 16.16 MWdc capacity is the highest installed under the scheme in the DGVCL region within a short timeframe.

The commissioned projects have already begun supplying renewable energy for agricultural pumping needs, providing reliable daytime power to farmers and reducing reliance on diesel-based and conventional power sources.

The PM-KUSUM scheme aims to enhance energy and water security for farmers, encourage sustainable agricultural practices, and support India’s renewable energy goals. KPI Green Energy’s achievement highlights its strong project execution capabilities and continued commitment to government-led renewable energy and farmer welfare initiatives.
