Korangi power station to reach final stage

Islamabad: Korangi Power Station will be completed by December this year, adding 220MW to Karachi Electric Supply Corporation's (KESC) total electric capacity from January next. KESC Officials said the project being funded by International Finance Corporation (IFC) would be completed at a cost of Rs 125 million, private television channel reported.

The second such station is being established at Bin Qasim, which will have a capacity to generate 500 MW electricity. This project will be completed by the year 2010.
