Kernex Secures ₹2,041 Crore KAVACH Railway Safety Contract.

Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited announced rcently that it has secured a ₹2,041.04 crore contract from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, a division of the Ministry of Railways. The project involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2,500 On-board KAVACH systems, adhering to RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020, Version 4.0.

The KAVACH system, also known as the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) or Automatic Train Protection System (IRATPS), is a cutting-edge safety technology aimed at preventing train collisions and enhancing operational security. The project is set for completion within 12 months.

Kernex, an RDSO-approved vendor, has played a pivotal role in developing and deploying railway safety technologies. With over 33 years of expertise in railway safety systems, software design, and networking services, the company has been at the forefront of modernizing India’s rail infrastructure.
