KEC International Ltd., a prominent global infrastructure EPC major and a subsidiary of RPG Group, has recently announced the acquisition of new orders amounting to Rs. 1,004 crores across its diverse business segments.
In the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) domain, the company has clinched composite orders encompassing the construction of transmission lines, substations, and underground cabling projects in India. Additionally, it has secured contracts for the supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas region.
Furthermore, KEC International's Civil business arm has secured an order for a residential project from a reputable real estate developer in India.
In the Railways sector, the company has bagged an order for 2 x 25 kV Overhead Electrification (OHE) and associated works aimed at speed upgradation within India.
Moreover, the Cables business unit has secured orders for the supply of conductors and cables in India, including a milestone order for the supply of power transmission conductors (ACSR and AL-59) from a distinguished government utility. Additionally, contracts have been secured for the supply of various types of cables.
Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director & CEO of KEC International Ltd., expressed satisfaction with the new order acquisitions across different business verticals, particularly highlighting the breakthrough order for power transmission conductors. He emphasized that this achievement aligns with the company's strategy of backward integration and seizing opportunities in the continually expanding global demand for power transmission conductors. Kejriwal also underscored the significant boost to the company's order book, especially within the Indian T&D sector. He further noted the expansion of the Civil business into the residential segment and expressed enthusiasm for the Railway order, particularly in the Semi High-Speed Rail segment under Mission 'Raftaar.'
With these latest orders, KEC International's year-to-date (YTD) order intake stands at approximately Rs. 17,500 crores, indicating a robust performance and steady growth trajectory for the company.
