Karnataka Government Advances Plans to Set Up Tech Park in Mangaluru.

The Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (KEONICS) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of a technology park in Mangaluru, according to Manjula N, Secretary of the Karnataka Department of Electronics, IT, BT and Science and Technology.

Speaking informally to the media during her visit to Mangaluru recently, Manjula noted that the proposed tech park is expected to strengthen the IT ecosystem in the region.

The announcement follows a recent Karnataka cabinet approval to establish an IT park on KEONICS-owned land in Mangaluru, signaling the state government’s continued push to expand technology infrastructure outside major urban centres.
