Kaka Industries Plans Solar Power Plant Installation at New Factory; Shares Surge
Kaka Industries, a prominent manufacturer and supplier of PVC-based products, has unveiled plans to set up a 1300 KW solar power plant at its new manufacturing facility in Lasundra, Gujarat. Spanning an extensive area of 7,00,000 square feet, the solar power project is scheduled to be fully commissioned by the end of January.
The initiative aligns with Kaka Industries' commitment to sustainable practices and cost-effective energy management. The solar power plant is anticipated to play a crucial role in meeting the substantial electricity requirements of the new factory. The company aims to capitalize on the prevailing upward trend in electricity costs by implementing a strategic approach to enhance cost-effectiveness.
CA Chintan Bodar, Chief Financial Officer of Kaka Industries, emphasized the significance of the solar power plant in managing operational costs and improving overall profitability. He stated, "Our new factory’s substantial electricity consumption necessitates a strategic approach to manage costs effectively. With the prevailing upward trend in electricity costs, the solar power plant is poised to significantly enhance our cash flow. By reducing power costs, we anticipate a notable improvement in the company’s overall profitability in the years to come."
The solar power plant, with an estimated lifespan of approximately 25 years, is expected to contribute to environmental sustainability while offering long-term energy cost savings. Kaka Industries anticipates recouping the investment in the solar power plant through substantial energy savings within the first four years of its operation, reflecting a prudent and forward-thinking approach to energy management.
