JSW Energy and SJVN Ink PPA for 700 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan
JSW Energy announced recently that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned SJVN for a 700 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS) solar project in Rajasthan. The project is set to be commissioned within the next 24 months, according to a statement from JSW Energy.
"JSW Renew Energy (Raj) Limited, a wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a PPA with SJVN for ISTS-connected solar capacity of 700 MW," the statement said. The PPA covers a 25-year supply period at a tariff of Rs 2.52 per kWh.
With this agreement, the total locked-in capacity for JSW Energy stands at 13.9 GW, while its locked-in solar capacity has increased to 3.5 GW.
The company did not disclose any financial details related to the project.
