JSPL opens 810 MW captive plant.

Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL) recently inaugurated its 810 MW captive power plant for the upcoming 6-million-tonne a year steel project at Angul in Odisha. According to Naveen Jindal Chairman, 'Soon we will start producing sponge iron, using synthesis gas from the coal gassifier'. The JSPL project is designed to produce steel through coal gasification (CGP-DRI) route.
