JPOD Hotels Launches New Facility at Hyderabad International Airport.

JPOD Hotels has unveiled a new Pod Hotel at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad, located at the city-side check-in facility on the car park level. This facility is designed to offer affordable and convenient accommodation for travelers.

"We are thrilled to partner with RGIA in Hyderabad. JPOD’s global standards in design and functionality allow us to provide effective accommodation solutions across other airports in India," said Jagrut Thakkar, Founder of JPOD Hotels, in a statement.

JPOD Hotels first introduced the Pod Hotel concept to India in 2017 with the launch of Urbanpod, which was later revamped and relaunched at Mumbai Central in 2021 to cater to railway passengers. "These two strategic launches helped us evaluate the acceptance of Pod-style accommodations in India," noted Hiren Gandhi, Director of JPOD Hotels.

Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), emphasized the growing demand for comfort and convenience among air travelers. "With the increasing number of passengers choosing air travel, this facility provides an ideal place to relax while transiting through the airport. The Pod Hotel at Hyderabad Airport offers our passengers a space to rejuvenate," he stated.

Pod hotels, also known as capsule hotels, feature compact, bed-sized rooms designed to provide a cost-effective and basic overnight stay for travelers who don't require the amenities of a traditional hotel.
