JK invites global tenders to set up resource assessment project

J&K State Power Development Corporation (PDC) has invited global tenders for setting up of technology Demonstration cum Resource Assessment Multipurpose Project in Puga, Ladakh, as a first step towards exploitation of the geothermal energy.

The state government has initiated the process for setting up of 5-Megawatt Technology Demonstration cum Resource Assessment Multipurpose Project at Puga in Ladakh region, which is believed to posses the vast potential of geothermal energy.

The project will serve two purposes. Through it, the resource will be assessed for optimal use as well as five megawatts of electricity will be generated.
