Jain Irrigation & Kirloskar Bros to rewamp dams in Ghana

Mumbai: Jain Irrigation System and Kirloskar Brothers have won a bid to revamp nine irrigation dams in Ghana.

The dams that currently function in the conventional method of flood irrigation will be updated to drip and sprinkler based systems of irrigation, said Mr Atul Jain, Director of Marketing of Jain Irrigation.

While Jain Irrigation would be responsible for providing with drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, Kirloskar would be responsible for supply of pumps. The total cost of the project is around $4.5-5 million which includes equipment, installation and maintenance, said Mr Jain.
