ITC to set up food processing park at Khurda.

The state government recently decided to provide 30 acres of land to Indian Tobacco Company (ITC) for setting up a food processing park in Khurda district.

The decision was taken here at the state-level land allotment committee headed by chief secretary G C Pati.

'The state government would provide 30 acres of land for the proposed Food Park which would be set up by the ITC. The projected cost of the proposed park is Rs. 470 crore,' said chairman-and-managing director Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Idco) Vishal Dev said.

The committee also decided to provide 14 acres of land to SMS India Private Limited to set up a steel equipment manufacturing unit with an investment of around Rs. 200 crore.

The government also approved proposal of 11 promoters to provide land in different parts of the state.
