Infosys Secures £1.2 Billion NHS Contract, Signaling Revival for Indian IT Sector.

Infosys has secured a major 15-year contract worth £1.2 billion (approximately $1.6 billion) from the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) to deliver the Future NHS Workforce Solution. The deal is one of the largest awarded to the Indian IT giant in recent years and represents a significant milestone for both the company and the broader Indian tech industry.

The agreement will see Infosys lead digital transformation efforts for NHSBSA, focusing on modernising workforce management through advanced technology, including AI and automation.

Commenting on the development, Siddharth Maurya, Founder and Managing Director of Vibhavangal Anukulakara Pvt Ltd, said the deal signals renewed momentum in the Indian IT services market, which has faced a period of sluggish demand.

“A large win like this reflects growing client confidence and rising investments in digital and AI transformation,” Maurya noted. “It not only strengthens Infosys’ total contract value but also demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver scalable, cost-effective technology solutions for large global institutions.”

The deal is widely seen as a sign of recovery in the Indian IT sector and a testament to Infosys’ execution capabilities on complex international projects.
