Indian Railways to develop 200 more new lines across India

Indian Raiways soon to build over 200 news railway lines across the country . The information about the same was given by Minister of State of Railways, Rajen Gohain, in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha on Thursday.



Out of 200, the maximum number of projects of laying new lines are being carried out by the Indian Railways in Bihar (34). This is followed by Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal at 18 each. The least number of projects have been taken up in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir at 1 each.



The decision of introducing new lines was announced in Railway Budget on February 1, earlier this year.
