IIT Madras Startup TuTr Hyperloop Forms Global Partnerships to Advance High-Speed Mobility in India.
IIT Madras-incubated TuTr Hyperloop is collaborating with global and national partners to accelerate hyperloop technology development and commercialization in India.
TuTr Hyperloop Pvt. Ltd. (THPL), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and Neoways Technologies GmbH (NEO) have signed an MoU to drive research, development, and deployment of hyperloop systems. The agreement was formalized during Asia’s first global Hyperloop Competition at IIT Madras' Thaiyur campus.
The partnership aims to establish large-scale testing and validation sites for hyperloop transit, focusing on propulsion, levitation, structural design, infrastructure, and advanced control systems. The collaboration integrates academic research with industrial expertise to enhance the feasibility and safety of hyperloop transportation.
Additionally, TuTr Hyperloop has signed an MoU with global transportation engineering firm SYSTRA to advance next-generation high-speed transit solutions in India. The partnership will work toward launching a pilot project to demonstrate hyperloop’s viability for passenger and cargo transport, conducting feasibility studies, route planning, and infrastructure assessments.
The initiatives align with India's long-term mobility goals, aiming to position the country at the forefront of hyperloop technology adoption.
