IFC pats Odisha, state to set up 61 food storage godowns.

The Odisha government recently decided to ink a pact with the International Financial Corporation (IFC) to construct 61 food storage godowns and other projects at a cost of Rs. 120 crore, a top official said.

State chief secretary J K Mohapatra said this after a review meeting with IFC officials here on the ongoing partnership projects.

'The food godowns will help us tackle procurement issues. Besides, some practical difficulties faced by the government will also be sorted out,' Mohapatra told reporters.

While the state government would avail technical expertise of the IFC for the project to be executed on a private-public-partnership (PPP) mode, details about investment and selection of places would be worked out in a later stage, he stated.
