Tamil Nadu Government has chosen HLL Biotech Limited (HBL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of HLL Lifecare Limited (HLL), as one of the 16 companies to set up new projects for the overall industrial development of the state.

HBL is implementing the ambitious Rs. 594 crore Integrated Vaccine Complex (IVC) on a 100-acre land in Chengalpettu of Kanchipuram district. Once fully operational, the IVC is expected to generate approximately 500 employment opportunities.

An MoU which was inked in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa recently in Chennai envisages Tamil Nadu Government's full support for the project.

'We have floated a subsidiary company HLL Biotech Ltd. for implementing this project.

Construction of the project is in full swing and products from this facility will be ready for trial in another 18 months,' said M Ayyappan, Chairman & Managing Director after the MoU signing ceremony with TN Government.
