HBL Engineering Receives ₹1,714 Crore Contract Award Letter.

Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has issued a Letter of Acceptance to HBL Engineering Limited (formerly HBL Power Systems Limited) for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of on-board Kavach loco equipment (Version 4.0).

The contract is valued at ₹1,714 crore, excluding 18 per cent GST, according to an exchange filing.

The scope of work includes end-to-end deployment of the indigenous Kavach train collision avoidance system on locomotives, covering installation, integration, testing and commissioning activities.

The order marks a significant boost for HBL Engineering, strengthening its presence in the railway safety and signalling segment as Indian Railways continues to roll out advanced safety technologies across its network.
