Hyderabad-based GV Research Platform (GVRP) and Bengaluru-based Steps Biosciences have jointly established a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for formulations research and development, named GSRC, in Bengaluru.
Located within the 1BLR life sciences cluster Lifescapes, the new facility is dedicated to advancing formulations R&D and supporting innovation in complex drug development.
The partners said the Centre of Excellence marks GVRP's strategic expansion into high-complexity formulations, a segment that is gaining increasing importance in the global pharmaceutical development landscape.
The facility is expected to provide specialised research capabilities and strengthen collaborations across the life sciences ecosystem, leveraging Bengaluru's growing prominence as a hub for biotechnology and pharmaceutical innovation.
According to the companies, the launch of GSRC further reinforces Bengaluru's position as a leading destination for life sciences research while enhancing India's capabilities in advanced pharmaceutical formulation development.
