GVK Bio to expand research unit.

GVK Biosciences Pvt Ltd., which has announced a new branding initiative as Clinogent recently, will be expanding its clinical research facility in Ahmedabad. The expansion was part of the Hyderabad-based company’s plans to emerge as one of the top clinical research organisations in Asia, its Chief Executive Officer, Manni Kantipudi, told newspersons recently. According to Chetan Tamhankar, Senior Vice-President, Clinical Development, 50 new beds would be set up at the Ahmedabad facility which would take up the combined bed-strength in Hyderabad and Ahmedabad from 254 to 304 in the next three months.
