Government Nod for Wetland Project.

The government has accorded administrative sanction for the project 'Infrastructure Development Works for the Integrated Development of kole wetlands’ under NABARD’s Rural Infrastructure Development Fund in Thrissur and Malappuram districts.

An amount of Rs. 959.7 lakh has been sanctioned to the managing director, Kerala Land Development Corporation, following his request for the same. The KLDC managing director had requested release of the balance startup advance of Rs. 1596.88 lakh in connection with the infrastructure development work for the integrated development of kole wetlands.

The director of Soil Survey and Soil Conservation has also recommended the same and the government sanctioned the entire amount.

The amount of Rs. 95.97 lakh was sanctioned as reimbursement for kole development projects under RIDF of NABARD including the state's share for the same. The amount disbursed by NABARD was Rs. 896.77 lakh and the the state's share was Rs. 62.93 lakh.
