Ghazni province gets new school

Ghazni: A School Building by support of Norwegian government has been inaugurated by the total cost of about 140,000 US dollars in Ghazni province, officials said.

The one storey building of Wakeel Muhammad Khan Kuchi High School, a special school for Kochis (nomads) was inaugurated. The 15-kilometres remote school has more than 1055 students.

The school building having ten classrooms and four administrative rooms has been completed with the financial support of Norwegian government. The school building was constructed in two and a half acres of land, an official explained.

Nasrullah Kuchi, director of tribal affairs department said the Afghan government should mostly consider the education of Kochis (nomads). The schoolchildren still study under tents and another building must also be constructed, he insisted.
More than 420 students of the Wakeel Muhammad Khan Kuchi High School have been living in a dormitory which the dormitory building was constructed last year.

Education director Syed Ibrar Hanoon expressing his happiness about completion of the school building promised that his department will mostly consider to the education of Kochis in the volatile province which has recently became precarious.
