GEON energises large-scale 2.88 GWh battery storage facility in Gujarat’s Khavda region.

Battery solutions provider GEON recently announced the commissioning and integration of a 2.88 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Khavda.

The installation, completed within five months, forms part of the rapidly expanding renewable energy infrastructure at Khavda, which is emerging as one of India’s major clean energy hubs, the company said in a statement.

According to the Mumbai-based firm, the project is among the largest utility-scale BESS deployments in the country and is now fully commercially operational.
