"Gensol-Matrix Consortium Secures 237 MW Bid for Hydrogen Electrolyser Plant"
Gensol Engineering Limited, an Ahmedabad-based renewable energy firm, in partnership with Matrix Gas & Renewables Ltd., announced that their consortium has successfully won a bid for 237 MW of annual capacity under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to establish an electrolyser manufacturing plant.
The bid, awarded by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), adds to the consortium’s existing 63 MW capacity secured in the first tranche of the SECI tender, bringing their total to 300 MW. This achievement qualifies the consortium for an incentive of ₹450 crore under the PLI scheme, according to an official release.
Anmol Jaggi, Managing Director of Gensol Engineering Ltd., remarked, "Winning this PLI capacity under the National Green Hydrogen Mission is a testament to our commitment and technical capabilities. It not only strengthens our position in the green hydrogen sector but also opens up new avenues for growth and collaboration in renewable energy."
The release further noted that Gensol and Matrix, both promoted by common promoters, will continue to collaborate in the Green Hydrogen space and its derivatives, including Green Steel and Green Ammonia, leveraging each entity's expertise.
