GE Power India Secures Letter of Intent for Rs 243.46 Crore Work Order

GE Power India has received a letter of intent (LoI) from NTPC GE Power Services (NGSL) for the renovation and modernization of LMZ Steam Turbines at Wanakbori Thermal Power Station (TPS) Unit No. 1 (210 MW) and Unit No. 2 (210 MW). The contract aims to improve heat rate efficiency and extend the operational life of these units.

NGSL, a joint venture between GE Power India (GEPIL) and NTPC, acted as the lead bidder in the bidding process, with GEPIL participating as a JV/consortium partner. Under the terms of the contract, GEPIL will oversee critical supplies, including design, engineering, testing, and commissioning of the systems.

The contract, valued at Rs. 243.46 crore, underscores GE Power India's role in enhancing efficiency and sustainability in India's power sector through advanced turbine refurbishment technologies.
