Gautam Solar increases production capacity of module mounts to 500 MT per month.
Gautam Solar, a Delhi-based solar manufacturer, recently said it has expanded the capacity of its manufacturing unit of solar module mounting structures by 10 times from 50 metric tonnes (MT) to 500 MT per month.
The unit is located in Haridwar and will produce module mounts for solar pumps, solar power plants, solar street lights, and high masts, according to the company press release.
"Our expansion plans have been in the pipeline for a while… The unit promises to be a one-stop solution for solar power plant and pump systems integrators,” said Gautam Mohanka, managing director, Gautam Solar.
Mohanka said that earlier solar system integrators faced the issue of non-compatibility between the mounting structures and solar panel. While, standalone structure manufacturers did not have an understanding of solar and missed minute but important issues related to integration.
The company added that the structures have been designed to withstand windspeed up to 150 kilometres per hour.
