"Gadkari Reviews National Highway Projects in Northeastern States"
Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari conducted a high-level review on Monday of national highway projects in the northeastern states, meeting with Chief Ministers and senior officials to assess progress. According to an official statement, Gadkari evaluated 15 national highway projects in Arunachal Pradesh, 38 in Manipur, and 16 in Tripura.
During the meeting, the union minister emphasized the importance of timely project completion, which he described as vital for enhancing connectivity in the region and driving economic growth.
In attendance were Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, as well as Chief Ministers Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh, N Biren Singh of Manipur, and Manik Saha of Tripura. The meeting also included Union Ministers of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra, along with senior officials from the ministry.
