French EDF Energies, EREN acquire 50% stake in Indian solar power generator ACME.

Two French green energy companies, EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) and EREN, have acquired 25% stake each in ACME Solar Energy Ltd., the solar energy arm of New Delhi-based ACME Cleantech Solutions.

EDF EN is the renewable energy arm of French state-run utility Electricite De France SA. ACME Cleantech has a current solar power generation capacity of 17.5 Megawatt (MW). Also, ACME Solar is developing two solar projects of 25 MW capacity each in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
