France carrying out feasibility study on Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project: Envoy.

The French Railways, SNCF, is directly involved in carrying out feasibility study for the high-speed 'bullet' train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Francois Richier, the French Ambassador to India, said.

According to him, France and Japan are the two countries who are carrying out separate feasibility studies regarding the project. Richier was addressing a press meet recent evening in the city.

Stating that it was for the Indian government to decide which country they will go ahead with, Richier said France's cooperation with Indian Railways is not restricted to the bullet train project only.

Cooperation between the nations are being carried out in other areas relating to safety and management of railway stations.
