New Delhi: Country’s largest power producer NTPC said that the first 500 MW unit at Sipat Super Thermal Power Project, Stage -II, in Chhatisgarh started commercial operations.
“NTPC’s 500 MW Unit-I at Sipat Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II has commenced commercial operation on Thursday, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The unit touched its full load on May 30 and the second unit is expected to start commercial operations by October this year.
