Islamabad: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) will set up a modern and well-equipped burn unit in District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital at Rawalpindi.

RCCI will bear the total cost of the burn unit and most modern equipment will be installed for developing the unit. A trust will be constituted by RCCI for starting the unit.

The DHQ hospital provides clinical tests, blood transfusion facility with screening, free of cost dialysis, medical equipment and medicines are being provided free of cost.

Rawalpindi and Islamabad lack well-equipped burn centre which results in deaths during burn cases and patinets have to take treatment at Jhelum or Taxila.
