Desilting full swing in Lahore Irrigation Zone

Lahore: The Irrigation and Power Department is excavating silt from 114 water channels with an amount of Rs 34 million in Lahore Irrigation Zone during as part of its ongoing desilting campaign.

This was stated in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Punjab Senior Minister, Raja Riaz Ahmad, an official said.

High ups of irrigation department attended the meeting. The meeting was told that desilting of 793-mile long canals is in full swing and it would be completed according to the time schedule.
