"Defence Ministry Inks Tripartite MoU with BEML, BEL, and MIDHANI"
The Ministry of Defence has formalized a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BEML Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), and Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) to jointly develop an advanced fuelling and control system for engines utilized in heavy-duty applications.
In a statement released by the Ministry, it was disclosed that the MoU signing ceremony took place in New Delhi, with the participation of Chairman & Managing Director of BEML Limited, Shantanu Roy; CMD of MIDHANI, Dr. SK Jha; and CMD of BEL, Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, in the presence of Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane.
The collaborative effort aims to harness indigenous capabilities for the design, testing, and manufacturing of an advanced fuelling and control system that promises improved efficiency, performance, and reliability. Leveraging their respective domain expertise, the partnering companies seek to advance the development of engine systems.
Following the announcement, there was notable activity in the stock market: Mishra Dhatu Nigam's stock surged by 3.17 percent, trading at ₹434.55 as of 1:45 pm, BEML's stock rose by 1.78 percent, trading at ₹3,273, and BEL's stock witnessed a 0.64 percent increase, trading at ₹210.95.
