Decks cleared for Rajarhat cancer hospital.

In a move that is sure to raise hopes of thousands of cancer patients across eastern India, northeast as well as neighbouring countries like Bhutan and Bangladesh, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the development of the first phase of Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute's (CNCI) Rajarhat campus at an estimated total cost of Rs. 534 crore. The central share will be Rs. 400 crore while the state will bear the rest.
