Danfoss to Boost Local HVACR Production to Meet Rising Demand in India.
Danfoss, a global leader in energy-efficient solutions, has announced plans to enhance local manufacturing capabilities and introduce new production lines for HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) products in India. The move responds to the rapid growth in the country’s HVACR sector and aims to reduce reliance on imports while strengthening the local supplier ecosystem.
Earlier this year, Danfoss committed an additional ₹500 crore to bolster its production capacity for HVACR compressors and controls in India.
“We aim to deliver European-quality products and solutions more quickly to the Indian market by nurturing indigenous talent and scaling up our local production capabilities for air conditioning and refrigeration,” said Ravichandran Purushothaman, President of Danfoss India Region.
The company stated that its range of compressors, heat exchangers, and controls currently caters to approximately 60-70% of customer requirements in India. This underscores Danfoss’ strategy of staying close to its customers and adapting to the growing market demand.
The investment is expected to further support India’s HVACR industry while promoting self-reliance in advanced technology manufacturing.
