"Daimler India Sets Ambitious Goal: Aims to Expand to 350 Sales Network Locations by End of 2023"

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), known for its BharatBenz brand of trucks and buses, is gearing up for substantial growth as it aims to increase its sales network to 350 locations by the end of the current calendar year. This expansion reflects the optimism DICV holds for the commercial vehicle industry in India.

Recently, the company added to its sales and service network by inaugurating five new 3S dealerships in various regions of India, including Trichy (Tamil Nadu), Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), Jindh (Haryana), Aizwal (Mizoram), and Dimapur (Nagaland). Additionally, an exclusive spare parts outlet was established near Chennai in Vandalur.

These strategically located dealerships aim to provide efficient service to customers, focusing on sales, service, and spare parts for the complete range of BharatBenz commercial vehicles. DICV's network now encompasses over 320 locations across the country, and the company is steadfast in its commitment to further expansion.

Sreeram Venkateswaran, President and Chief Business Officer of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, noted, "Having crossed 320 sales and service locations, we will continue to expand our sales and service footprint in the coming months to achieve 350 network locations by the end of 2023."

DICV's dealerships are strategically positioned along major national and state highways, ensuring that they are easily accessible to customers within 2.5 hours. With a cumulative presence of 30 BharatBenz locations in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, 32 in Tamil Nadu, and 11 in the Northeast, the company is well-equipped to serve over 6 lakh vehicles annually, thanks to its workforce of 8000 skilled service technicians nationwide.

The Indian commercial vehicle industry has displayed signs of recovery, recording a 14.7% growth in domestic wholesale volumes sequentially and an 11.7% growth year-on-year in September 2023. This growth comes after a relatively sluggish period following the transition to BS6 2.0 emission norms on April 1, 2023, highlighting the industry's resilience and potential.

DICV's ambitious network expansion aligns with its commitment to meet the rising demand in India's growing commercial vehicle market and enhance customer service and support.
