In the recent E-auction conducted on January 25, 2024, Coal India Limited emerged as the successful bidder, acquiring a 300 MW capacity in the Gujarat Industrial Power Corporation Ltd Renewable Energy Park. The park, boasting a total capacity of 600 MW, is situated at Khavda and is designated as a grid-connected Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) Project.
The procurement process was initiated by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), which invited bids for the development of 600 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Phase XXI.
