Centre likely to go slow on airport privatisation plan.

The Centre has put its airport privatisation drive on slow track and it is unlikely that the union cabinet will give its go-ahead before the general elections next year, people involved in the privatisation process told ET.

Different arms of the government are debating over the modalities of the sale as it is felt that there may not be aggressive bidding because of the stretched finances of airport companies, they said.
