CDGK to carry out construction projects

Karachi: The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has started construction on large department and super stores, inter-city bus terminals, cinema halls and other projects.

These projects are being launched under the city nazim’s public-private partnership policy.

The CDGK with investment from the private sector, will setup modern department and super stores in markets under its supervision.

Initially, the stores will be established in the CDGK’s markets at Clayton Road, Guru Mandir Chowrangi, Soldier Bazaar, Soldier Bazaar No 3 and Wadhumal Odharam Market at Haqqani Chowk.

The Enterprise and Investment Promotion (E&IP) department has invited technical and financial offers by April 4.

The city government has decided to establish bus terminals in Deh Bhatti Amri, Scheme-33 and off the Super Highway for which the E&IP department has invited offers.

The city government has also prepared schemes for cinema halls. They will have cinema halls, food courts, indoor games, and gym. The city government has invited offers by April 9.
