CCEA approves four road projects
New Delhi: The Government approved four road projects worth Rs 3,230.80 crore for two, four and six-laning of the sections of the national highway in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka through public-private partnerships (PPP). The approval for the projects was granted by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA).
The projects include four-laning a stretch of the Gujarat/Maharashtra border-Surat-Hazira section (estimated cost of Rs 1,661.9 crore with a concession period of 19 years), 4/6 laning of Jaipur-Tonk-Deoli section in Rajasthan (Rs 1,203.64 crore with concession period of 25 years).
The project will be developed by the National Highways Authority of India through PPP model and the concessionaire will be selected by the authority. The second stage of the bidding was in process.
The Cabinet committee also approved the two-laning of the Beawar-Gomti section on NH 8 in Rajasthan.
