Cantabil Retail Targets ₹1,000 Crore Revenue by FY27.
aApparel maker Cantabil Retail India Ltd, which marks its 25th anniversary this year, is aiming to cross ₹1,000 crore in revenue by FY27, banking on strong double-digit year-on-year growth and a steady expansion of its retail footprint.
The company said it is experiencing strong sales momentum this festive season, buoyed by a recent GST rate cut and improved consumer sentiment.
Effective September 22, the GST rate on apparel priced up to ₹2,500 was reduced from 12% to 5%. This has significantly benefited Cantabil, as nearly 60% of its revenue comes from products within this price range. The company's average selling price stands at around ₹1,100–₹1,200.
“We have passed on the benefits of the GST cut to consumers. Since the rate revision, we’ve seen very good traction. Overall, Q2 has met our expectations,” said Shivendra Nigam, CFO of Cantabil Retail India.
Nigam added that the GST rate cut, along with income tax benefits and other supportive measures, is likely to fuel stronger consumption in the coming quarters. He also noted that these developments could accelerate the shift from the unorganised to the organised segment in the apparel market.
“We believe GST 2.0 will have a long-term positive impact on the sector,” he said.
