BSNL to set up new towers in Meghalaya
Shillong: Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) will set up 10 towers along the Indo-Bangla border in Meghalaya for improving its network in the region. The new towers will be be erected within a year. BSNL launched the third generation (3G) mobile services in Shillong.
Presently, people use the services of Bangla Grameen Mobile Company near border areas because of poor service of BSNL. Recently, sone of the trading areas along Indo-Bangla border areas of Meghalaya - Dawki, Shella, Mahendraganj and Baghmara - have been brought under BSNL's network.
