BR projects under ADP reviewed

Dhaka: The progress in implementation of development projects under the annual development programme (ADP) of the fiscal 2008-09 of Bangladesh Railway was reviewed at a meeting here.

The meeting was held at Railway Bhaban with Communication Adviser Major General (rtd) Gulam Quader in the chair, an official handout said.

Secretary of the Roads and Railway Division Iqbal Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Railway Mohammad Belayet Hossain and other concerned high officials were present.

The meeting was informed that the 29 development projects 26 investment and 3 technical were undertaken to implement in the fiscal at a cost of Taka 890 crore.

The meeting was also told that Taka 144 crore was released up to November 2008 and Taka 67 crore spent to implement those development projects, the handout said.

During the meeting, the adviser called upon the concerned officials to implement the development projects timely and maintaining standard of work.
